Hi,
I just installed the latest server update possible which overwrote the Pluton files. Server started fine, and I do not see any errors in the console spamming about IP being blocked for the next 10 minutes. Meaning that only Modded Servers are targeted.
When it comes to the CPU and Memory leak. I can still see a higher usage of RAM, and CPU stands around 10-12% of the dedicated server per service installed. Which is already better than 20-25% noticed with Pluton. However one thing, the 20-25% was before I updated the server files.
So my conclusions are the following:
- CPU Leak seem to be fixed (yet could be better compared to 0-3% for a Rust Legacy Server);
- Memory improved but still using more than expected. (1.9-2.5 GB RAM compared to the previous 800 MB);
- CPU or Memory leaks are not caused by Pluton;
- Modded Servers are targeted by the DDoS Attack;
Now the question is, what do the devs. think about this?
EDIT 10/20/14 @ 8:15 AM
I have updated servers again with the latest update from Rust. When I put no Pluton, the server loads and uses between 2.5 to 3.0 GB RAM each and I can see it in the Community list. However, the Pluton needs an update because as soon as I put the latest Pluton files, the rustdedicated.exe is showing up in the task manager with around 30,000k RAM, but not showing up in the lists.
EDIT #2 10/20/14 @ 8:52 AM
Run the new patcher, and Pluton works like a charm without any console spams from the known layer 7 ddos attack by the french community. Now, Facepunch needs to work on the leak, because it still uses a high level of CPU and RAM.
