Installation possible only on cracked servers?

Hi! Did i get it right that Fougerite installation is possible only on cracked servers (with full access) ?
Since Fougerite requires access to RUST server root folder ( i am talking about /Fogerite and /modules folders ) and all available now RUST managed hostings do not provide access to RUST server root folder, only to /Save folder. Another words, currently, you can not install RUST on dedicated server by yourself if you have no special server-key from RUST devs.

But yes, GSPs dont have fougerite support....yet.

Maybe i am missing something, but there is no way to download real server via SteamCMD without key, unfortunately. Did something changed recently in their strategy?

U may download experimental server (http://fougerite.com/threads/rust-experimental-server.44/)
I dont know, but maybe u also able to download server v1070 now (i'll try it now)

P.S.: Fougerite patcher fo experimental server is in developing.

Yep, experimental server available now for downloading, however, it is for experimental branch, i assume. I want classic rust

Just checked Facepunch forums and looks like nothing changed: you still need auth-key to host a server.

p.s. Gameservers.com are areed to install Fougerite for me, will see if they success with that.

Oh, yes.....u may just ask support to do that

I have interesting idea: what if someone integrate some kind of filemanager or shell into plugin (magma or fougerite) which allows (via rcon command) to bypass FTP chroot and work with server folder on GSP.

Well you may ask you GSP to support Fougerite. That would be cool.

Yep, already asked, but looks like they encountered some problems with that, still installing..
I think it is because paths to plugins folders, but, looks like they can be customized via FougeriteDirectory.cfg

I don't really know if @alexknvl did that but he mentioned something like that before.

That is definitely possible, however it would constitute a violation of ToS with most GSPs.
Actually.. Do you need just one auth key file to host your own server?
