For $19.95/month my expectations are not high and FPSplayers has met them. But my first request to get a Fougerite build installed languished in their queue for 2 weeks, escalated to the "owner" to review the code, or something. But a person who signed their reply with the title General Manager finally replied and got the software installed. It wasn't the same "owner" I had spoken to before. Since then, they have turned around a request to update in 24 hours, or over the weekend when I asked on a Friday.

The techs I have talked to there are into the scenes for the games they host, read gomagma.org and facepunch.com and so on, and were pretty cool and try to be helpful. And yes, they like doing live support on their TS3 server, and they screen-share to show you how to do things.

Streamlines seemed very nice when i was talking to them. They told me if everything is fime with the 1.0.5 they will make a one click installer for their users.

OK. So, how is Streamline servers overall? Can I get some subjective opinions? Because I just cancelled GameServers. I am just so sick and tired of their support ticketing system. @mikec, did you get anything going from FPSplayers? I know they sometimes pull people into their TS channels for support, which is nice if they actually resolve things with open, direct communication.

As an FYI--Here are a few reasons why GameServers Customer Service sucks balls:
  1. I waited over 44 hours for an open ticket with no response.
  2. After getting a non-sympathetic apology, some actions were taken...on the wrong server subscription.
  3. Service reps force close tickets before a the customer is able to verify the fix/service and close the feedback loop.
  4. Service reps trick you into opening new tickets so that their "closed ticket" quotas looks good, and they don't have to deal with real problems.
  5. No "tiers" of service are there to help you feel like you have been handed off to more experienced hands. How do I know rep #6 on the same problem is going to have a better chance at resolving my issue?
  6. ZERO liability in not resolving ticket items. Where's the complaint box? Why can't I report poor service from reps? Why is there NO liability on them for providing poor service?
For the record, not all the reps were bad, but enough of them are bad to create an overall shit experience.
Streamline have good customer service from what I hear but like to push all the server problems on the mods you run.
and I am admin on 2 streamline servers and they seem to crash and go down at about the same time (They don't have limit of rust servers so maybe they are overloading them?)
EDIT: The crash is only like once maybe twice a day depending on if its a weekday or weekend.
