Hello I'm using latest Legacy dedicated server on my own machine windows 2008 R2

I tried following the readme, but when I get to running the patcher. The patcher crashes, and when I try to run the server, the server instantly crashes.

Not sure what to do or if I am missing some pre requisites.

Help would be appreciated since we are totally stoked to start writing python plugins.

I'm happy that you guys are not LUA fans.
Okay from the start, I guess you have the .NET packages installed, and the server was not patched before right?

As for preferred coding languages, i'm in classes for C# and my main Dev is a professional Python developer. We were going to make a custom python extension for oxide, but than I found this. xD

Are you launching the exe or the bat file? Maybe @mikec can tell you more.

Also, If you will move to experimental one day, don't forget to check out pluton-team.org

eventually when experimental is up to par, we will move.

I'm currently reinstalling the server OS, and i'm going to switch to 2012 R2. there is a chance we just had a buggy 2008 R2 install.

I'll keep you guys posted. I wonder if pluton team is going to have c# and python support?

Actually not having .net 3.5 was the problem, when i switched from 2008 R2 to windows 2012 R2 it gave me a detailed error instead, pretty much told me it needed .net 3.5. So I installed it and bam, the patcher worked.

On second thought, the patcher doesn't run under the game, so it does need a .Net runtime apart from what comes with the game. You are right.

Yes I have pluton installed on my experimental server already. And this API on my legacy. We arent sure which version we are going to run yet, but for some reason our legacy server won't show up in the list after we installed Fougerite. :/

Yes, I can try a reinstall, but when I net.connect and run around for a few minutes, than disconnect and try to rejoin via recent list, our server does not show up. Tried about 4 times.
